We’ve got over a month left of winter and there’s a solid chance for a snow day (or two) before the warmer weather arrives. And even if there isn’t any snow, there is a 100% chance for sub 40 degree days paired with rain – lots and lots of rain.
The good news? The cold weather comes with an opportunity to enjoy a bowl of hot soup and it’s (un)scientifically proven to taste even better when you’re cozied up at home watching The Office for the millionth time while the cold rain drops hit your window. So let’s make these dreary (hopefully snowy) days count with some of the best damn soup the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

If you’re located outside the Seattle or Puget Sound metro areas, you can still get in on the fun. Pike Place Chowder ships nationwide and some national retailers (Costco, Safeway, etc.) sell Ivar’s Clam Chowder so you can heat and eat at home no matter where you are.
